The frenzy of New York Fashion Week, exhilarating – and exhausting!
I’m pretty sure that the saying “I’ll sleep when I’m dead,” was conceived during the start of NYFW. People from around the world come to NYC to attend the right shows, wear the right fashions and check out the hottest after parties. Who has time for sleep? Whenever I come to NYC for NYFW, I typically stay at the chic Dream Downtown property. However, this year, I heard their Midtown property had just been renovated; given its proximity to Lincoln Center, I figured I’d give it a try.
Let me tell you, Dream Midtown was, in one word, ok two: A DREAM. The room decor was incredibly vibrant and rich yet still cozy and comfortable. My room had this beautiful, silk canopy over the bed, I wanted to take the fabrics it home with me! The best part of my stay – the bed was SO comfortable that I was able to fall right asleep, every single night. I was also able to run back and forth to shows at Lincoln Center and avoid long, cold cab rides which was a pretty nice perk.
After many long days of attending shows, it was the perfect place to come home to. In fact, after a couple days – it did feel like home. The staff was super friendly and everyone went above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable as possible.
I highly recommend Dream Midtown to anyone visiting NY. I’ll definitely be back this summer when the rooftop lounge opens!
