Los Angeles had quite an exciting weekend offering an array of star-studded events, NBA contests, creative pop-up shops and a unique rendition of the national anthem.
The action kicked off Friday with #NikeXRevolve interactive pop-up shop located at the Revolve Social Club. Revolve celebrated NBA All-Star Weekend with the exclusive launch of Nike’s “The 1 Reimagined” collection, which re-creates 10 women’s styles of Nike’s most pivotal sneakers: The Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1.
If pop-up shops aren’t your thing, the weekend was jam-packed with parties and events, many of which took place close to home at Avenue LA, featuring a lineup of star-studded performances from Migos, Travis Scott, Metro Boomin, and French Montana. Leading appearances from Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, LeBron James, Kevin Hart, The Weeknd, Future and many more!
Sunday carried in the All-Star game which began with an interesting rendition of the national anthem from non-other than Fergie. In her own words, the singer wanted to “try something different”, and the performance featured a few camera pans of our favorite celebrities, unable to contain their laughter during the show. After that ‘killer’ performance the game kicked off with two superstar teams drafted by LeBron James and Steph Curry. This sparked a little more competitiveness and interest compared to years prior. In the end, Team LeBron took the ‘W’ with striking breaks to the basket and emerging 4th-quarter defensive.
We’re very sad to see the weekend go, but in the wise words of @ChampagnePapi,“I’m not here for a long time, just a good time.” Till next time All-Star weekend.
